Help for rough sleepers

You are here

We are continuing to support rough sleepers and are working with the Street Outreach service and other agencies to ensure that all rough sleepers in Ipswich have accommodation. Additional B&B rooms have been sourced to ensure they have access to accommodation.

If you are concerned about someone who you believe is sleeping rough, please visit the Street Link Website and complete the referral form. Alternatively email roughsleeping.enquiries@ipswich.gov.uk.

Community support

Direct Line Group has donated £100,000 from its Community Fund to provide essential supplies for homeless people in Ipswich during the Coronavirus emergency. This will enable us to buy dozens of ‘starter packs’ for families and individuals moving into temporary accommodation.

The packs include bedding, crockery, saucepans, nappies, toiletries, electrical goods, children’s drawing books, food and shopping vouchers – items that can help people at their most vulnerable. People who have been sleeping rough will be offered a change of clothes or vouchers.
