Here is all the essential information you need to make parking easier in Ipswich.
Parking can be pre-booked at at Layard House, Gippeswyk Park and for coaches and minibuses at West End Road car park.
You can pre-book your guaranteed car parking spot for just £15 per car online (please note a 10p convenience charge is applied to all bookings). Parking will be valid until midnight on the day of your stay.
MiPermit is a cashless parking system which is already used by over 2 million customers. For more information, visit MiPermit or download the MiPermit app. You are able to pay for a stay by phone 0345 505 1155.

Parking is available on a 'first come, first served' basis (no pre-booking available) at:
Portman Road B Car Park (Location Number 754008)
Portman Road C Car Park (Location Number 754009)
West End Road Car Park (Location Number 754012)
Please note that paying for parking ahead of arriving at any of these three locations does not reserve you a space to park.
Parking will not be available at Portman Road A and D and Princes Street car parks.
Entry into Portman Road car parks B and C will be diverted from Handford Road from 12pm on Friday 11 July will be diverted through Portman Road B on Friday 11, Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 July.
All car parks will be staffed, to help ease traffic flow, and assist customers with parking.
Coach parking for coaches and minibuses will be available at the following location:
West End Road Coach Park (Location no. 754016)
Parking will also be available within our short stay car parks.

Parking availability at all our other long and short stay car parks is on a 'first come first served' basis. Even if parking at these locations is paid for in advance - for instance, through the MiPermit app - this does not guarantee parking space/s will be available on arrival.
Staff manning our car parks will be able to confirm the registration of cars that have pre-booked parking. To make this process easier for our staff you can show a screenshot of your parking booking.
Portman B,C and West End Road Coach parking will be manned during opening times, but our short stay car parks will not be manned by staff. Ipswich Borough Council doesn’t take responsibility for theft or damage to vehicles or their contents while parked.
