Ipswich Borough Council is pleased to hear that Ipswich parkrun is making progress towards its return to Christchurch Park. The Council has been and continues to work positively with the local parkrun team, who are now finalising the necessary arrangements with their national office.
Councillor Lucy Trenchard, Ipswich Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Parks, says:
“Parkrun is a much-loved event that brings people together and supports health and wellbeing whilst at the same time showcasing one of our town’s finest parks.
"Christchurch Park is a fantastic community space, and we’ve been ready and waiting to welcome parkrun back.
"We’re pleased to finally see progress from Ipswich parkrun and look forward to its return.”
Ipswich parkrun are currently awaiting confirmation from parkrun HQ. They hope to announce a start date shortly once this has been received.
