Global fashion jewellery brand Lovisa is set to open a new store in the remaining ground floor unit of the Grimwades building in Ipswich, following the opening of café brand Jamaica Blue in the other unit in July.
Lovisa’s Ipswich store will create seven jobs, split across full and part-time roles, contributing to local employment and offering a new retail experience for shoppers.
Ipswich will join a network of Lovisa stores in prominent locations around the world, including one in Beverly Hills, reflecting the brand’s broad international reach and growing presence in the UK.
A Planning Application has been submitted to modify and modernise the shopfront. Subject to planning permission being granted, Lovisa are hoping to open in the New Year, offering a wide range of jewellery and accessories.
Councillor Neil MacDonald, Leader of Ipswich Borough Council, said:
“We’re excited to be welcoming Lovisa to Grimwades. Their arrival supports our wider ambitions for the town centre. The addition of Lovisa alongside Jamaica Blue shows the growing interest in Ipswich from national and international brands."
