The Ipswich Regent Theatre has been crowned best Arts, Culture & Theatre venue in the Suffolk & Cambs Muddy Stilettos Awards 2026, marking a third consecutive win for the much-loved venue.
The Muddy Stilettos Awards, now in their 13th year, celebrate the very best independent lifestyle businesses across England, Wales and Scotland. With nearly half a million public votes cast nationally, the awards are entirely customer driven.
Ipswich Regent Theatre’s continued success highlights its strong connection with audiences and its commitment to providing a diverse programme of high-quality entertainment, alongside outstanding customer service.
Councillor Jane Riley, Ipswich Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Culture and Customers said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won this award for the third year running. To be recognised by our audiences in this way means so much to us.
“This achievement is a testament to the passion, dedication and hard work of our staff and everyone behind the scenes who help create unforgettable experiences for our visitors.”
Welcoming thousands of visitors each year, the Ipswich Regent Theatre plays a central role in the town’s cultural offer, hosting everything from major touring productions and comedy to live music and community events. It underwent a £3.45m renovation project last year, transforming the venue.
This latest accolade reinforces Ipswich’s reputation as a vibrant cultural destination and celebrates the people who make these venues so special.
