A charge is payable when you send a Building Regulations application to the Council. The amount of the charge payable depends on the work which is to be carried out.

Please include any plans, specifications and structural designs that you have to enable a full appraisal and cost estimate of the works to be undertaken. We aim to respond within 2 working days, but in busier periods may take a bit longer. Payment of charges
Approval with Full Plans fees
The total of the plan charge and inspection fees are due on submission of the application. The inspection fees cover the work stated on the quotation request and will be recalculated if the scope of work changes. If the work does not proceed the inspection fees will be refunded in full if no inspections have taken place, otherwise on a pro-rata basis.
Building Notice fees
The total of the plan charge and inspection is to be paid on submission of the application; there will be no further charges made unless the scope of work changes from the submitted notice.
Regularisation application
The total fee is payable with the submission of the application.
