What happens next
Once your application has been validated, you will receive an acknowledgment from us. You can start work at anytime after receiving the acknowledgment, however if you have made an Approval with Full Plans application and you have not yet received a plan approval, this will be at your own risk.
Notification requirements
The Building Safety Regulations 2023 require that you give notice to the council at least two days before you start work. You will then need to request inspections at various stages of the project and notify the council within five days of the work completing.
Inspection regime
An inspection regime will be agreed at the start of your project . It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that inspections take place at the appropriate stages of the work and that a Completion inspection is requested.
