Twitter helps Ipswich Borough Council keep residents, businesses and visitors informed of important news, events and updates.
These accounts are managed by the Borough's Communications and Marketing team, on behalf of colleagues across the Council.
If you follow us, you can expect up to 10 tweets a day covering some or all of the following:
Being followed by us does not imply endorsement of any kind.
We will update and monitor our Twitter account during office hours, Monday to Friday and occasionally outside these hours during events.
Twitter may occasionally be unavailable and we accept no responsibility for lack of service due to Twitter downtime.
We welcome feedback and ideas from all our followers, and endeavour to join the conversation where possible. However, we are not able to reply individually to all the messages we receive via Twitter.
The Communications and Marketing team reads all @replies and Direct Messages and ensures that any emerging themes or helpful suggestions are passed to the relevant officers.
We cannot engage on issues of party politics or answer questions which break the rules of our general comments policy.
We will follow the Responding to Social Media Messages protocol on escalating social media enquiries to line management and beyond.
The usual ways of contacting us for official correspondence are detailed on the Contact the council page.
