Household Waste Recycling Centres (tips/dumps)

Suffolk County Council have reopened the recycling centres around Ipswich, to use the centres you must book a 15 minute appointment. If you would like to book a slot please follow the link herePlease note Ipswich Borough Council are unable to amend or cancel any bookings and you would have to make contact with Suffolk County Council should you wish to do so.

The nearest Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) are:

  • Portmans Walk (off Sir Alf Ramsey Way), IP1 2DW; and
  • Foxhall, IP10 OHT.

They are run by Suffolk County Council and they accept household waste for recycling and disposal (subject to some restrictions).

Suffolk has 11 HWRCs in total. They open at the following times:

Sites are closed on 25, 26 December and 1 January.

Soil, plasterboard, hardcore and rubble

On 1st April 2016 Suffolk County Council introduced a charge for the disposal of soil and DIY waste such as hardcore, rubble and plasterboard.
