Keeping your gas appliances safe

You are here

As landlords, we have a legal duty to ensure that any gas appliances and gas pipes provided in our properties are tested within a twelve month period, as set down in the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.

The check is to ensure the safe operation of the appliance and supply and to protect the safety of tenants. It is part of your Tenancy Agreement that you must allow access for the Gas Safety Check to be completed by the council or contractors working on their behalf.

Our current contractors are Aaron Services.

If you are a council tenant and experience any problems with your gas appliances please contact Aaron Services direct on 0800 533 5630.

If you smell gas or think that you have a gas escape you must phone National Grid immediately on 0800 111 999.
