Local community preparedness

You are here

If you are a local neighborhood or community group, assistance is available to develop your own Community Emergency Plan, which can help local people prepare for emergencies.

It is important to think about what you need to do to deal with emergencies such as being isolated by severe weather or loss of power in your area and how you can all support each other by being prepared.

Information to help you and your community during the winter weather can be found below:

You can find out more on the Community Emergency Preparedness website: http://www.getpreparednow.co.uk/.

The 'Get Prepared Now' website and Community Resilience campaign for Suffolk is led by the Suffolk Joint Emergency Planning Unit.
