Following public consultation on the draft document, the Open Space and Biodiversity Policy was approved at Executive Committee on the 19 February 2013.

The adopted Open Space and Biodiversity Policy/Strategy 2013-2023 will provide the Council with an overarching document that gives clear justification and direction for the provision and management of public open space.

Actions within the Policy are being delivered via the service Operational Plan, in consultation with stakeholders.
