The Shopfront Design Guide Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) provides guidance in relation to shop fronts in both older and modern buildings, including guidance relating to elements of a shop front including materials, colours, fascias and signage.

Previous Consultation

A ‘call for ideas’ on the Shop Front Design Guide SPD was held during July and August 2015. The comments received were considered in drafting the SPD and consultation on the draft took place during November and December 2015.

Inspection of Adoption Documents

The Shop Front Design Guide SPD was adopted by the Council on 27th July 2016.
