A new Residents Engagement Strategy developed by Ipswich Borough Council for those living in Cumberland Towers will be considered by the Executive later this month.

As the only high-rise flats owned by the Council, Cumberland Towers is the only Council housing required to have a dedicated Resident Engagement Strategy by the Building Safety Regulator (BSR)

The Strategy, which will be submitted to the BSR, has been developed in partnership with residents and outlines how the Council will continue to keep Cumberland Towers residents informed and involved in building safety matters.

Councillor Alasdair Ross, Ipswich Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Housing, says:

"As the Council’s only high-rise residential building, Cumberland Towers has had a dedicated Residents Engagement Strategy developed in line with the Building Safety Act. This strategy is an important component of ensuring that residents at Cumberland Towers are safe and it plays a key role in ensuring the ongoing safety and reassurance of all who call Cumberland Towers home."
