The Data Protection Act gives you the right to see any data we hold on you (with a few exceptions) and to have it corrected if it is not accurate.

Data held includes members of the public, current, past and prospective employees, clients, customers, contractors, partners and suppliers.

Public consultation, statutory representations and petitions
Ipswich Borough Council is required by law to protect the public funds we administer. We may share information provided to us with other bodies responsible for auditing or administering public funds, or where undertaking a public function, in order to prevent and detect fraud. We participate in the Cabinet Office’s National Fraud Initiative: a data matching exercise to assist in the prevention and detection of fraud.
