The landscape Rebels exhibition which explores how human impacts, including the climate crisis, are changing the landscape opens on Saturday 22 October until 16 April 2023.
The exhibition brings together artworks by Turner, Constable and Monet, alongside natural history, costume, and global stories, to show a variety of creative responses to the landscape.
The Art Gallery shows exhibitions of international importance and provides a unique stage for local artists to show their work and to showcase the region's artistic talents.
Ipswich Art Gallery will be closed from Monday 20 June. It will reopen along with the redeveloped Ipswich Museum in 2025.
Our collections cover both human and natural history. These collections are full of objects which tell us not only what life was like thousands of years ago but also about life today.
Looking for things to do? Our team have devised a variety of activities to help educate and entertain. Inspired by the collections across Colchester and Ipswich, from art to nature, archaeology to social history, we hope to bring the museum to you!
