This beautiful Tudor mansion is the jewel in the crown of Ipswich's historic past boasting over 500 years of history.
The family-friendly Animals in the Art Gallery exhibition is open until 2 June 2024.
Familiar British wildlife, from badgers to barn owls, have made a home amongst artworks from the Ipswich collection. You’ll find cats, dogs, horses, cows and more in the paintings, sculptures and ceramics on display, as well as artworks that reflect different animal habitats from woodland to coastal, gardens to urban.
A new creative studio inside the gallery provides a great space for families to play, draw, get creative and make their own artistic animals!
The Art Gallery shows exhibitions of international importance and provides a unique stage for local artists to show their work and to showcase the region's artistic talents.
Ipswich Art Gallery is currently closed. It will reopen along with the redeveloped Ipswich Museum in 2025.
