Requests for information related to the status of planning conditions and Section 106 (S106) planning obligations do not fall under the scope of a general enquiry. These requests can be made using the general enquiry form but will be the subject of a bespoke fee based on the information being sought.

The body enforces the requirements of the 2022 Building Safety Act and 2010 Building Regulations and are regulated by the Building Safety Regulator.

Works to Protected Trees

You must apply to your local planning authority before you carry out works on trees if they are protected - that is if they are covered by a Tree Preservation Order or are located in a conservation area.

Self-build and Custom Build Register

The Self-build and Custom Housebuilding Act 2015 requires local authorities as part of their statutory duties to keep and maintain registers of people who are interested in self-build or custom build housing projects in their area.
