The purpose of a Fairtrade Town is to contribute to the Fairtrade Foundation's aim of tackling poverty across the globe by enabling disadvantaged producers from poor countries to receive a better deal through encouraging support for the Fairtrade Mark.
Ipswich has lots to offer, excellent shopping, award-winning parks, and a full events calendar – all of which attract people into the borough and increase footfall throughout our town. To further support our local businesses, Ipswich Borough Council is planning four high-profile “Ipswich Weekenders” throughout 2023, designed to attract even more visitors.
