A brand-new self-guided walking trail celebrating the rich literary and cultural heritage of Ipswich has officially launched, offering residents and visitors a unique way to discover the town’s rich creative legacy.

The Planning & Development Committee at Ipswich Borough Council met this morning, Wednesday 23 July 2025, to discuss five applications.

Ipswich Borough Council, acting as the lead authority and accountable body for the Town Deal Fund, is pleased to announce its support For Children and Young People’s (4YP) relocation and expansion project, which will establish a new state-of-the-art youth centre at Regatta Quay on Ipswich Waterfront. The project has been awarded £1,146,258 from the Towns Fund, marking a major investment in young people’s mental health, wellbeing, and opportunities in Ipswich.
