Overview

Bourne Park is a great open space with a play area and paddling pool. With a beach theme, the play area features a pirate ship and sand castle multiclimb frame, whale and penguin rocks and a boat rocker. The surface is designed to look like the sea, with fish, crabs and a 3D shark.

The equipment is designed for disabled users with a roundabout suitable for wheelchairs and disabled swings.

The enclosed play area is for children aged up to 12 years.

There is also a picnic area with several wheelchair accessible picnic tables.

The Sahara desert themed paddling pool is for children aged up to 8 years.  It is open seven days a week (10am - 5pm) from May until September. It is now closed for 2024.
