Overview
Bourne Park is a great open space with a play area and paddling pool. With a beach theme, the play area features a pirate ship and sand castle multiclimb frame, whale and penguin rocks and a boat rocker. The surface is designed to look like the sea, with fish, crabs and a 3D shark.
The equipment is designed for disabled users with a roundabout suitable for wheelchairs and disabled swings.
The enclosed play area is for children aged up to 12 years.
There is also a picnic area with several wheelchair accessible picnic tables.
The Sahara desert themed paddling pool is for children aged up to 8 years. It is open seven days a week (10am - 5pm) from May until September. It is now closed for 2024.

Bourne Park can be accessed via entrances at:
- Wherstead Road (2-5 minute walk to play area)
- Stoke Park Drive (10-15 minute to play area)
If you are a disabled driver the best entrance is Wherstead Road as it is closer to the play area/paddling pool where there are designated disabled parking bays.
