Ipswich Loves Trees Week 2025

What is Ipswich Loves Trees Week?

Ipswich Loves Trees Week is a week-long celebration every February, dedicated to appreciating and honouring the trees of Ipswich. As the tree planting season comes to a close, this week serves as a special time to recognize the beauty and importance of the trees we cherish.

Thank you for your support in 2025

A big thank you to our tree wardens, residents, and volunteers who helped with tree planting this year.

A main project this year was to create a new woodland in Bourne Park. Incorporating 2,500 new trees and shrubs, it has been planted in the shape of a stag beetle when viewed from above, to highlight the importance of this iconic insect in the Ipswich area.

Get involved for Next Year

Looking ahead to next year’s planting season, we welcome your suggestions for new planting locations and invite you to support future events.

Join the Ipswich Tree Warden Network

Ipswich Tree Warden Network is a group of volunteers passionate about supporting trees in Ipswich. This is a flexible volunteer led scheme, with no set volunteer hours and the tree warden coordinator facilitates volunteer led projects they are passionate about. This could be anything relating to trees, from organising tree themed events to planting trees, engaging schools with their local trees to growing trees at home!
