Status message

This does not change the way in which we collect Direct Debits. If you pay between 16th – 22nd of the month your October payment will be taken later than planned.

Find out about annexes and Council Tax
If you meet certain conditions your Council Tax may be charged at a lower Valuation Band than the one that your home is actually in.
Some homes are exempt from Council Tax or may qualify for a discount.
The Council Tax bill assumes there are at least two adults living in the property. If there is only one adult occupying the property as their main home, there is a 25% reduction.
A discount of 10% is available for up to 12 months, if a property is unoccupied, substantially unfurnished; and requires or is undergoing major repairs (including structural alteration) to make it suitable to live in.
