Everything you would like to know about historic Christchurch Park

An introduction to the park and visitor information
Where you can find the main parks in Ipswich and the times they are open.
The Reg Driver Visitor Centre was created as part of a £4.2m Heritage Lottery Fund refurbishment of Christchurch Park.
About the park's variety of habitats and special historic features.
Christchurch Park officially opened to the public in April 1895, but it has a rich and fascinating history dating back as far as the 12th Century.
The sole purpose of the Friends Group is to help look after the Park for the public good, and to promote its welfare. Anyone who shares this aim is welcome to join.
Our Wildlife and Parks teams have created walks around 12 of our parks and open spaces to encourage use of particular paths to avoid disturbance to wildlife, encourage use of under used areas of the parks and improve access to nature for mental health and wellbeing.
