Published30th September 2022

Fifty local employers are ready to talk to job seekers at the Ipswich Jobs and Careers Fair at the Town Hall, 10am and 1pm on Tuesday 4 October.

The exhibitors, from a variety of sectors, include Sizewell C/EDF, Border Force, the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency, Suffolk Fire Service, TK Maxx, Premier Inn, Kier, NHS, Suffolk County Council, plus many more.

Those attending can meet and talk to employers about their industry and roles available, see what industries and services appeal most for their next career move, find current vacancies to apply for or discover new training opportunities for skills development.

The event, organised by Ipswich Borough Council and the Department for Work and Pensions, is open to all and free of charge.

Councillor David Ellesmere, Ipswich Borough Council Leader, says:

“We’re really pleased to again be working with the Department for Work and Pensions to put on another Ipswich Jobs and Careers Fair this year.

“Previous events have helped many local people, including those out of work into employment and candidates seeking a new role. There are a great range of employers lined up to offer career advice and opportunities on the day. If you are looking for employment, this is a great opportunity.”

Jobcentre Plus are partnering with Ipswich Borough Council for the sixth time for this Jobs and Careers Fair 2022.

Julia Nix, Service Leader, East Anglia Jobcentre Plus, Department for Work and Pensions, adds:

“This really is a fantastic opportunity for employers to quickly and easily fill vacancies and for jobseekers to speak directly to employers or access support to enable them to move into employment. I encourage everyone to attend this event as there’s something on offer for all.”
