Christmas trails return to Ipswich parks

Published19th December 2022

Two Christmas trails are returning to Christchurch and Holywells Park during the Christmas holidays for the whole family to enjoy.

The trails hosted by Ipswich Borough Council in collaboration with High Street Safari are returning to the two parks from Monday 19 December 2022 until Wednesday 4 January 2023, and are free to complete.

The Christmas augmented reality gives users control of what happens next in the story. Players will need to hunt for 10 very odd missing Christmas presents, solve the mystery, and release cheeky imps in the story trail, with users needing just a smartphone to take part.

Councillor Phil Smart, Ipswich Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Environment and Climate Change, says: “After the success of the previous trails, we’re excited to be running another two free interactive activities for families to take part in. We hope they will give people a chance to get out and explore more of our beautiful parks over the festive period.”

The trails are spread over five stops in both Christchurch and Holywells Parks and take approximately forty-five minutes each to complete. However, this can be done in more than one visit.

Once you’ve completed the trail, you’ll receive a free digital fun pack to use at home.

You can find out more information about the trail and how to take part by visiting High Street Safari's website
