Come and see the Clangers!

Published25th May 2017

The team at Ipswich Museum is busy preparing for next month’s launch of the "Clangers, Bagpuss & Co" exhibition.

The children’s favourites are taking over the Ipswich Art Gallery in High Street to bring a ray of summer sunshine over the holidays.

They will be joined by Ivor The Engine and Noggin the Nog; clearly the Musuem has children from two to 102 in mind!

There are special events throughout the summer but the launch party takes place on Saturday 17th June. “It’s a family picnic so please bring your lunch and join us in the Museum Garden between noon and 2pm,” said Museums Service Manager James Steward. “After lunch we shall head into the Gallery next door to see some of the nation’s greatest ever children’s characters.” No booking is required.

The previous evening sees a special pre-launch Curator’s Guided Tour to the exhibition. “This is an intimate tour and an ideal opportunity to find out all about these legendary characters,” said James.

Refreshments are included in the £6.60 ticket price. The tour starts at 5pm and booking is essential: www.ipswichregent.com
