The nominations for the Ipswich Borough Council election on Thursday 22nd May have closed and 75 candidates are contesting 17 seats.
A third of the 48-strong Council is up for election and there is also a by-election in Alexandra Ward.

You can still register to vote at this election. Applications can be downloaded from www.ipswich.gov.uk/elections and must be submitted by midnight on Tuesday 6th May 2014.
If you are away on polling day you can apply to vote by post. The deadline for postal voting applications is 5pm on Wednesday 7th May 2014.
