Mandy starts enterprise talks series

Published3rd November 2017

The Ipswich Waterfront Innovation Centre (IWIC) is hosting the first in a series of talks to recognise and encourage women entrepreneurs.

Mandy Haberman kicks off the Women in Enterprise events on 7th December between 10am and noon. It is open to all and IWIC say they especially welcome local entrepreneurs, innovators, academic staff, students and graduates.

As well as hearing from an inspirational speaker, these talks will give people an opportunity to develop their networks and hear about the opportunities to grow their businesses with IWIC at the University of Suffolk.

Mandy is an expert on infant feeding with more than 35 years’ experience. Formerly a graphic designer, her career changed direction when her third child was born with a syndrome that made normal feeding impossible. Dedicating her life to helping mothers feed their babies in the best way possible and to helping youngsters develop feeding independence, she became an award-winning inventor and entrepreneur with the Haberman Feeder being used in hospitals around the world. Annual sales reached 60 million and helped Mandy to win a number of prestigious awards for her innovations, including British Female Inventor of the Year in 2000.

The talk is free but you will need to register at www.eventbrite.co.uk
