The new skatepark in Whitehouse Park will be opened by the Mayor of Ipswich Councillor Glen Chisholm at 11am on Saturday 31st October.
There will be plenty of opportunity for skaters to try out the new park and refreshments will be available from The Meeting Place Community Centre on Limerick Close.
The Park has recently been completed with the help of funding from The North West Big Local Trust; SITA Trust; and Ipswich Borough Council’s North West Area Committee and will provide a much needed community facility for all ages, particularly young people, in the North West Area of Ipswich.
Skatepark users and local residents have been consulted throughout the process and the designers of the park, Wheelscape, have created a dynamic design based on the plaza style which many skaters expressed great interest in.
