Mayor’s 2023 Charity Ball for Emmaus Suffolk

Published7th March 2023

Tickets remain on sale for Ipswich Mayor John Cook’s Charity Ball to be held in the Grand Hall at Ipswich Corn Exchange this month, on the evening of Saturday 18 March 2023.

The Mayor’s Charity Ball is an annual black-tie event that brings together the community of Ipswich to support a local charity. This year the money raised will support the work of Emmaus Suffolk.

The event starts at 7pm with a Drinks Reception by the Mayor, dinner offers a main course of roast topside of beef or roast vegetable wellington, plus an impressive trio of desserts with dancing to the songs of Blondie and Ska plus performances by the Co-op Juniors and Anna Mudeka to enjoy.

A traditional tombola and auction will round off the evening, with prizes including a cruise donated by Fred Olsen Cruise Lines; a corporate box for ten at Colchester United Football Club donated by Gallagher; a gold, aquamarine and diamond pendant donated by Carats; plus many other fantastic items.

Tickets are £65 each (or £600 for a table of 10 for those wishing to have their own table of work colleagues, friends, or family) with prices remaining the same as when the event was last held in 2019.

Councillor John Cook, Mayor of Ipswich, says:

“The annual Charity Ball is one of the highlights of the Mayor’s calendar. I look forward to meeting everyone on the night, in aid of such a great cause. Emmaus Suffolk does great work helping vulnerable people in our local community.
