The autumn Ipswich Jobs and Careers Fair will take place later this month, with everyone looking for work, training, or career advice welcome to attend.
Held at Ipswich Town Hall and Corn Exchange on Wednesday 27 September from 10am to 1pm, employers from a variety of sectors will be promoting their job vacancies and training opportunities.
At least 50 employers are expected to attend the event, including, Ipswich Town Football Club, East Suffolk & North Essex Foundation Trust, and Anglian Water.
September’s event will welcome plenty of employers for the first-time including Ports Personnel, Sunskips and We Love Pets.
This free to attend event, organised by Ipswich Borough Council and the Department for Work and Pensions, is open to all, with no pre-registration required.
Councillor Neil MacDonald, Ipswich Borough Council Leader says:
“The Ipswich Jobs and Careers Fair is a fantastic opportunity to talk to a variety of employers in the Ipswich area, seek advice from training providers and meet local recruiters.
800 people attended the event in March - it’s a great way for local people to connect with a variety of businesses under one roof, talking, networking, and learning face-to-face.
It’s fantastic to see such a wide variety of employers supporting this event, showcasing opportunities for individuals of all ages and all levels of experience in the local area.”
Julia Nix, East Anglia District Manager for Jobcentre Plus adds:
“We are delighted to be working in partnership with Ipswich Borough Council once again to host this Jobs Fair in Ipswich.
It is a fantastic opportunity not only for those looking for employment within the local area, but for prospective employers seeking out new talent. I encourage anyone seeking employment to come along and see what’s on offer.”
