New dog grooming parlour in Holywells Park

Published28th September 2023

A new dog grooming parlour, Tolly’s Tails, is now open in Holywells Park.

Run by husband-and-wife team Jon Shapcott and Sarah Quinton, who opened Bishops Parlour and Tearooms earlier this year, the grooming parlour can be found in the Stable Block next to the tearoom.

Currently open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8.30am to 4pm, there are plans to expand the opening times once the business is more established.

Services on offer include long and short-haired grooms, bathing and brushing as well as special sessions for puppies.

Councillor Neil MacDonald, Ipswich Borough Council Leader says:

“It’s wonderful to see Sarah and Jon adding another business venture to their fantastic offering within Holywells Park.

We know that this award-winning park is popular with dog walkers, so this service is sure to be welcomed by owners and their furry friends visiting the park.”

Sarah Quinton, owner of Tolly’s Tails adds:

“We’re big animal lovers and felt that bringing animals back into the Stable Block area of the park was a fitting tribute to its 200-year history, with the name Tolly’s Tails also a nod to the Cobbold family who used to own the mansion.

We know from talking to customers in the tearoom that a lot of park visitors will benefit from the new parlour, which combined with our tearoom, gives them relaxation time while their pets are being pampered.”
