Your views on cycling to school and other planning issues

Published6th July 2015

Calling all students and parents! Ipswich Borough Council wants your views on cycling to school or college.

The survey will inform the Ipswich Cycling Strategy Supplementary Planning Document, which will be drafted later this year to provide guidance on cycling provision in new developments.

The Council would also like your views on four other supplementary planning documents (SPDs) which cover reducing the impact of emissions from vehicles, relocating reptiles from development sites, parking standards for the central area and shop front design.

In addition, the Council is consulting on two draft SPDs  - the Space and Design Guidelines SPD and the Urban Character (Chantry, Stoke Park and Maidenhall) SPD. These are being produced to improve the quality of building design and to protect the distinctive character of Ipswich communities.

You can find the surveys online at www.ipswich.gov.uk/consultations

The documents can also be viewed at the Customer Services Centre at the Town Hall, Ipswich County Library and branch libraries as well as at Grafton House reception.

Comments need to be submitted to the Council by 11.45pm on Monday 17th August.
