Fifteen local support groups will take part in a Health & Wellbeing Fair organised by Ipswich Borough Council in the town centre on 23 August.
From 12-4pm on the Cornhill, a range of support agencies will come together to offer free interactive activities for children and young people to get involved with. There will also be information and advice on mental health available, plus volunteering opportunities and more.

These support groups will join Ipswich Fit and Ipswich Borough Council’s Health and Wellbeing, waste and recycling and Community Safety teams.
Free activities on offer include an interactive quiz, breathing exercise involving bubbles, a wellbeing workbook, colouring and drawing activities for younger children, an interactive rubbish sorting game, the chance to interact with DiGBY the litter mascot and soft sports play.

“It’s wonderful that so many local agencies are coming together on the Cornhill to highlight the mental health and wellbeing support that is available for families in Ipswich.
Good mental health and maintaining the wellbeing of not only yourself, but family and friends is so important. Just to know and understand that there is help available is vital for communities. Events like these in the heart of our town is a great example of everyone coming together to support each other.”
