Handford Homes develops new housing for Ipswich Borough Council. Our first sixty homes off Old Norwich Road, Ipswich were completed in March 2021. We’re currently building sixteen flats on Grimwade Street and another twenty-four properties in south west Ipswich, while we’re due to start onsite at Revenswood and Bibb Way in 2022 to create another two hundred and forty-six new homes between the two sites.
Most of our new homes become part of Ipswich Borough Council’s housing portfolio and are let at affordable rent by the Council but some get let at market rent by Handford Lettings (our subsidiary). At the forthcoming Ravenswood development, we’ll also be building some starter homes for sale.

Area Housing Panels consist of Tenant Representatives, Councillors and Council staff members who meet regularly to discuss issues in the locality and how we can better approach neighbourhood issues. Each housing panel has £10,500 to spend on local improvements and initiatives every year:
