Ipswich Borough Council is celebrating the success of its eight microhomes, dedicated to helping rough sleepers in Ipswich. Since the first tenant moved into Armitage Place in July 2021, the microhomes have helped 16 people in the last two years with temporary housing and access to further support.

The construction of new homes in Ravenswood is progressing well, with 67 council properties set to be available on the Ipswich council housing register next year. An update report to Ipswich Borough Council’s Executive advises that these new homes will be available for rent by the end of 2024.
