Ipswich Borough Council’s Executive will be asked next week to approve a revised ‘Table of Fares’ for Hackney Carriages in the Borough. If approved, the revised fares will be advertised in accordance with section 65 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 and be subject to consultation.

Ipswich Borough Council will discuss its digital switchover plans at the Executive meeting on Tuesday 13 June. The UK’s communication infrastructure will switch from analogue to digital systems by the end of 2025, affecting the Council’s telephony and HEARS alarm services.

Community projects linked to local shopping parades across Ipswich Borough can now apply for funding to improve facilities for the local community. As part of the £25m Towns Deal for Ipswich, the funding utilises government funding to improve the town’s economy.

The Planning & Development Committee at Ipswich Borough Council met this morning, Wednesday 31 May 2023, to discuss four applications. All Committee members were present, three applications were approved and one application was refused.
